Call for volunteers.
As a not-for-profit arts organization, Early Music Guild is particularly grateful to those members of our community who voluntarily help us behind the scenes. Our volunteers are have various backgrounds and skills, who share a common love of the music and desire to make a significant contribution to the cultural life of our community. Volunteers enjoy access to Early Music Guild and our productions, musicians, and artistic team and make new friends in the process. If interested, please drop us an email at emg@earlymusicguild.org or call 206-325-7066.
Here are some ways in which our volunteers help us:
House a musician or provide transportation. For those musicians traveling to Seattle to play with us, volunteers open their home to them, typically for a week’s stay. Other volunteers drive musicians to and from the airport and rehearsals or lend the musicians an unneeded car. This is great way to get to know the artists better and helps more of our funds go toward the music.
Join a committee or lend a skill. Behind the scenes, board members and interested volunteers get together to bring musical experiences to the schools, to share our music with a wider audience, to track our finances, and to seek funding opportunities. If you have skills or interests in any of these areas or simply an enthusiasm for our music, consider serving on a committee or lending us your skills.
