George Bozarth, fortepiano
George Bozarth, who took his Ph.D. at Princeton University, is a member of
the music history faculty at the University of Washington. Internationally known
as a Brahms scholar, he is also a specialist in the performance of Classical and
early Romantic music on early pianos. He is a member of the Classical Consort,
which performs regularly on the Gallery
Concerts series, of which he is co-artistic director. As a Lieder
accompanist on fortepiano he has also appeared in the Seattle area on the
concerts of The Musical-Poetical Club, the Belle Arts series, the Seattle
Camerata's Schubertiade, and the Governor's Chamber Music Festival
(Olympia). The fortepiano used by the Classical Consort is a replica of an Anton
Walter instrument (Vienna, ca. 1795) built by Rodney Regier of Freeport,
Maine, in 1987 and owned by the School of Music at the University of Washington.

Jillon Stoppels Dupree, harpsichord
Acclaimed as
“one of the country’s top baroque musicians” (Seattle Weekly),
harpsichordist Jillon Stoppels Dupree has captivated audiences in such cities as
London
,
Amsterdam
,
Chicago
,
New York
,
Boston
, and
Los Angeles
. Her playing, described by the Chicago
Tribune as “lively and colorful,” can be heard on the
Meridian
, Wild Boar, Decca and
Delos
record labels; she has also appeared live on
BBC
England, Polish National Television, CBS Television and National Public Radio.
Ms Dupree has been a featured artist at the York Early Music Festival (
England
), the Boston Early Music Festival, the Berkeley Early Music Festival, the
National
Music
Museum
, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the
Santa Barbara
Art Museum
, and numerous universities and colleges. Her world premiere recording of Philip
Glass’s Concerto for Harpsichord and Chamber Orchestra, released in
2006 on the Orange Mountain Music label, has been described as “superb” by
the New York Times. Ms Dupree has
collaborated with some of today’s foremost musicians and ensembles, including
recorder virtuoso

, violinists Stanley Ritchie and Jaap Schröder, sopranos
Ellen Hargis
and Julianne Baird, the ensembles Musica Pacifica and The Newberry
Consort, dancer Anna Mansbridge, the Seattle Symphony (with whom she
has recorded), and the Seattle Baroque
Orchestra.

Tamara Friedman, fortepiano
Tamara Friedman attended the Oberlin Conservatory and received a Master of
Music degree from Mannes College of Music, where she studied with noted Mozart
specialist Lilian Kallir. On fortepiano she has coached with Malcolm Bilson and
Steven Lubin. She is a member of the Classical Consort, which performs regularly
on the Gallery Concerts series. In
addition to playing on many festivals and concert series in the Midwest and New
York, she has also performed in the Seattle area on the Governor's Chamber Music
Festival, the Seattle Camerata's Schubertiade, and the Belle Arts series.
A doctoral candidate at the University of Washington, where she has taught
piano, Ms. Friedman maintains an active private studio in Seattle, teaching
modern piano, fortepiano, and clavichord. The fortepiano used by the Classical
Consort is a replica of an Anton Walter instrument (Vienna, ca. 1795)
built by Rodney Regier of Freeport, Maine, in 1987 and owned by the School of
Music at the University of Washington.

Lisa Michele Lewis, harpsichord
Lisa Michele Lewis holds a master's degree in harpsichord from the University
of Washington. She performs frequently with
Baroque Northwest, and is a member of the Nouve
Musiche and the Seattle String Ensemble.

Roger Sherman, organ
Roger is Associate Organist of St Mark's (Episcopal) Cathedral in Seattle,
and produces a 1 hour weekly radio program called THE ORGAN LOFT for KING-FM in
Seattle, featuring music for organ, organ and other instruments, and choirs. He
studied organ with Ed Hansen, Fenner Douglass, Arthur Poister, William Porter.
Roger is currently Director of Quality at the Microsoft Corporation.

Jennifer Streeter, harpsichord
Jennifer has performed throughout the United States and Europe with ensembles
such as the Seattle
Baroque Orchestra, Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra,
Baroque Northwest,
Ensemble Amarelli, Music of the Baroque,
the Monte Carlo Philharmonic, Second City Musick, and Bloomington Baroque at the
2006 & 2007 Bloomington Early Music Festivals. She holds masters' degrees in
both instruments from the Early Music Institute at Indiana University, studying
with Eva Legene and Elisabeth Wright. While a student, she was selected twice as
soloist with the IU Baroque Orchestra as winner of the early music concerto
competition. She has been featured on Indiana University's WFIU and the
nationally syndicated program Harmonia.
