Music and Dance

Baroque Dance

This presentation brings to life the lavish lifestyle of 18th-century European court life. Baroque dance specialist Anna Mansbridge will perform popular dances which were a central feature of court entertainment, accompanied by vivid descriptions of life at court. This presentation makes links to social studies, language arts, and history. Optional: available as a participatory event.

Renaissance Dance

Simple dances demonstrated and taught. Includes information on clothing, manners, and customs of the time. Live music accompanies the dance. Available for one classroom at a time, or larger numbers of children. Presented by Anna Mansbridge
