Welcome...
For 31 years the Early Music Guild
has brought the greatest performers of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque
music to Seattle audiences.
2008-2009
Season Announced!
Baroque opera returns to Seattle this season, with three performances of
Claudio Monteverdi’s masterpiece L’Orfeo in the historic Moore
Theatre. Our International Series features another season of
world-renowned artists, including Ensemble La Rota,
Jaap ter Linden performing J.S.
Bach's 'cello suites,
Piffaro,
The Tallis Scholars, and
Ensemble Caprice. All performances will
take place in the acoustically stunning Great Hall at Town Hall, Seattle.
Our popular Early Music Discovery concerts continue in the Downstairs at
Town Hall featuring Ensemble La Rota,
Maxine Eilander, baroque harp, and
Ingrid Matthews, baroque violin. They bring unusual, informal, and
educational performances of early music to concertgoers of all ages.
More details about the Season's performances will be added soon, but you
can download and view the
2008-2009 brochure
