Le Nuove MusicheLa Lira, formerly known as Le Nuove Musiche, is an ensemble dedicated to bringing Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music to life. The make-up of the trio is ideal for many song settings, as well as providing great variety far instrumental music. For years they have performed together in numerous ensembles, presenting music of diverse composers and stylistic ranges, including: Hildegard von Bingen, Francesco Landini, Renaissance consort music, lute songs and all the major national styles of the Baroque literature. Le Nuove Musiche's debut concert sponsored by the Early Music Guild was met with an enthusiastic audience and rave review. "In sum, splendid performances by all three artists, playing in ensemble very well and shining in solo work as well..." (Michael Shanahan, The Seattle Classic Guitar Society Datebook, 1999)
