Making its International Series debut, Ensemble Caprice, directed by recorder virtuoso Matthias Maute, is renowned for its innovative interpretations of Baroque music. Composed of two winds, cello, Baroque guitar, and percussion, Ensemble Caprice performs regularly at every major festival and concert series for early music. Their unique program features gypsy music in the Renaissance and Baroque periods taken from the Slovakian collection Uhrovska zbierka, coupled with works by composers influenced by gypsy music.
