Description

Benaroya Hall, home of the Seattle Symphony, offers two acoustically exquisite performing halls in heart of downtown Seattle. Occupying an entire city block, Benaroya Hall celebrates the vital role of performance events while maintaining the continuity of commercial life along 3rd Avenue and a terraced garden, along 2nd Avenue.

Interior - Nordstrom Recital HallThe 540-seat Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall was created as a space complementary to the principal 2,500-seat S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium, providing an elegant venue for performances by smaller ensembles and solo artists in an acoustically excellent venue. The Recital Hall occupies the north end of the site, on the corner of Union Street and 3rd Avenue. The Recital Hall's acoustics are created by sculptural shapes that diffuse sound, folded planes with triangular surfaces that surround the performers and audience. The stage house and stage floor are of cherry wood, providing a visually and acoustically warm environment for the performers.  Seating for Early Music Guild concerts is reserved.

Visit the Seattle Symphony for more information about Benaroya Hall and a calendar of other events scheduled at that venue.
