Description
The Early Music Guild is pleased to present
its 2008-2009
International Series concerts in Seattle's newest venue, Town Hall.
Town Hall is a grand, three-story 1922 building in Roman Revival style,
located in the heart of Seattle one block east of Interstate 5. A
gleaming First Hill landmark clad in white terra cotta tile, this
historic building features generous proportions, vintage furnishings,
art-glass windows and Tiffany-style lighting fixtures.
At
the heart of Town Hall is the strikingly beautiful, 900-seat Great Hall with
reserved seating. This dramatic space, with outstanding musical
acoustics, features a central dome with oculus, art glass windows,
handsome curved fixed seating in a sloped amphitheater configuration,
and a newly constructed main stage.
The entrance floor of Town Hall is devoted to a spacious
and elegant lobby,
entered through a dramatic portico framed by six classical columns.
Refreshments will be offered before and during the concerts in the
lobby.

Town Hall is located at 8th and Seneca, one block east
