Chris Briden, viola da gambaTuesday, May 7, 2013
Trinity Parish Church
7:30 p.m.

A solo recital of music for viola da gamba, featuring Cornish College Artist in Diploma in Early Music student Chris Briden.

Tickets will be available at the door, beginning at 7 p.m.

“My goal as a performer on the viola da gamba is to create my own unique voice while at the same time making the music of previous centuries accessible to modern audiences with an eye to unique interpretation and respect to the composer’s possible intentions.”

Briden earned his M.Mus. from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. He is currently studying with Margriet Tindemans and supporting faculty members Stephen Stubbs and Jillon Stoppels Dupree at Cornish College for the Arts.
