Chanticleer performs Mystery

Saturday, April 25, 2015, 8:00 PM
Preconcert lecture at 7:00 PM
Town Hall Seattle

Titled “the world’s reigning male chorus” by The New Yorker, and named Ensemble of the Year by Musical America in 2008, the San Francisco-based, GRAMMY award-winning ensemble Chanticleer is known around the world as an orchestra of voices. Their program, Mystery, explores the mysteries at the core of the Christian story – perceived and set to music by composers from different corners of Western culture, viewing the profound ideas through their cultural prisms, united by awe. This wide ranging program includes works by early composers Gabrieli, Desprez, Lasso, Palestrina, Byrd, and Victoria as well as later works by Wolf, Poulenc, and Rachmaninoff.

Online sales have closed. Remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the Town Hall box office, beginning at 6:30 PM. We hope to see you there!
