Kevin Mallon conducts an evening of Bach’s beloved cantatas appropriate for Lent and Easter: Am Abend aber desselbigen Sabbats, Der Friede sei mit dir, Sehet! Wir gehn hinauf gen Jerusalem, and Christ lag in Todesbanden. The full Seattle Baroque Orchestra, complete with oboes and bassoon, is joined by vocal soloists Linda Tsatsanis, Hannah Penn, Ross Hauck, and Sumner Thompson.

A native of Belfast, Ireland, Kevin Mallon founded and directs the Aradia Ensemble, currently the Orchestra in Residence at the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy. Mallon also directs the Toronto Chamber Orchestra, Ottawa’s Thirteen Strings, and New York’s West Side Chamber Orchestra. He served as concertmaster with Le Concert Spirituel and Les Arts Florissants in Paris, and has recorded more than fifty CDs for the Naxos label.
